Medanta to set foot in Bhubaneswar soon
Medanta-the Medicity, one of the super speciality healthcare chains of India, is planning to set up a high-end hospital in Bhubaneswar. The project is estimated to entail an expenditure of Rs 750-1,000 crore for a hospital with around 700-1,000 beds. Medanta chairman-cum- managing director Naresh Trehan said, "I had talks with the Odisha chief minister. The land for the proposed hospital is being surveyed. Normally, we invest Rs 750-1,000 crore on a hospital, of which Rs 300-350 crore goes into technology." Trehan expressed his desires to partner with the Odisha government to replicate successful initiatives which have been taken up to make Haryana tuberculosis and dengue free.
