BDA arranges workshop for feedback on online BPAS
A consultative workshop was organized by Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) for its empanelled architects. Here the newly-developed online Building Plan Approval System (BPAS) was demonstrated so that the architects can provide the feedback on BPAS. This initiative falls under the Ease of Doing Business Policy which shall facilitate on-line building plan approval through a Common Application Form (CAF) post which the authority would send it to other agencies on-line for getting the NOCs. The government agencies have been directed to provide the NOCs as soon as possible. As per the new BPAS, if there is delay in the provision of NOCs, it would be deemed to be accepted that NOCs are accorded to the applicants and after that approval will be processed. The required payments for this process will also be accepted through online payment gateways integrated into this system. A 10-membered architects group has been formed which will be supported by ILFS Environment team (developing the BPAS software) on technical aspects. Changes in BPAS will be made based on new suggestions. Later, after the state government approval and statutory induction, the BPAS will be available for use by all stakeholders to get building plan approval.
