Odisha to offer affordable health care services to the rural poor
With 83 per cent rural population, Odisha government is all geared up to set up of affordable healthcare facilities in PPP mode in 10 priority districts of the state in the initial phase. As per official sources the10 locations are being identified which will be divided into three clusters. The construction of hospitals will be completed within a year of signing of the agreement with the partner organisations. Technical assistance will be provided by the US-based International Finance Corporation (IFC). It will be integrated with the State Health Policy and a nodal officer will be appointed for its smooth functioning. The project will ensure cost-effective, qualitative and efficient healthcare services for the economically disadvantaged.
