BBSR to have NIELIT centre soon
National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of Union ministry of electronics and information technology is soon going to have its presence in Bhubaneswar by July 2017. The centre will undertake skill development training to students and unemployed youths of the state in electronics and information technology domain while offering 22 different courses. These courses will be available for law enforcement agency, students and common people. NIELIT director general Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sharma said the centre would be able to provide training to 5,000 youths every year. He said,"We will come up with cyber security course for students and enforcement agency deals with cyber security." A memorandum of understanding has been signed by the NIELIT and the state government to start the centre’s operation from OCAC premises. Moreover, Odisha government has agreed to provide 15 acres of land in Infocity-II near Jatni for the permanent campus of NIELIT which is planned to be ready in five years till when it will function from OCAC.
