Nayagarh gets its first regular passenger train
Nayagarh Town gets its first regular passenger train on the Khurda Road-Bolangir railway line project. This was inaugurated on 19th June by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu through video conference who was accompanied by Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan and Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patsani at Rail Bhawan in New Delhi. A 54.5-km railway track between Khurda Road and Bolagarh has already been commissioned with two pairs of trains operating along the line. This service was an extension of a train running from Khurda Road to Bolagarh Road, now connecting till Nayagarh. In addition to the passenger train, Nayagarh Town Station building and public halt at Bolagarh was also inaugurated.
