BBSR celebrated Local Self Govt Day by launching 8 new projects and inaugurating 11 welfare pr
On 31st August, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) observed the Local Self Government Day by conducting the inauguration ceremony of 11 welfare projects. The occasion was also marked by laying the foundation stone of eight new projects in the city. An AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation of Urban Transformation) park at Saytanagar entailing a budget Rs 27.20 lakh, two parks at Santoshi Vihar in Laxmisagar area and in Badagada EA Colony respectively are coming up. The water body Kansari Jharana in ward 52 is being renovated with budget allocation of Rs 38 lakh. Development of surrounding of Garabdu Smasan, hybrid toilet at Badagada BRIT Colony, construction of a park at BDA Colony in Kapilaprasad and a Day Care Centre in Bhimpur are other projects which have been started. A primary health-care centre in Niladrivihar, series of hybrid toilets in Chandrasekharpur area, at CRPF Battalion (Front Gate), near Census Office, at Satyanagar, near Venkateswar English Medium School in Unit IV and near BMC Community Hall on Tankapani Road, hybrid toilet of 10 seater capacity is inaugurated near Aiginia Square, community centre at Nayapalli Sabar Sahi, and a newly-constructed vehicle shed and park inside the BMC office campus were also inaugurated.
