Odisha recognizes 100+ start-ups
The Startup Odisha Initiative has recognized 112 Startups of various innovative areas during the last two months and 19 more startup applications are under process for recognition. This was acknowledged during the 3rd meeting of the Task Force held under the Chairmanship of Shri L.N. Gupta, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, MSME. With approval of monthly allowance grant of Rs.20,000/- per month for 07 more recognised Startups, the count of startups getting monthly allowance under Odisha Startup Initiative becomes 15. Also, one chosen startup will get need-based assistance of Rs. 4 lakh. The Task Force is working towards formation of organized Bhubaneswar Angel Network. The network is soon going to be registered as a society. Miss Akankshya Kapoor, Invest India representative ascertained that while Amazon Web Service (AWS) has agreed to offer $1000 worth cloud credit to Odisha based Startups( to be availed by the chosen 15), Zoho has extended support in terms of their 30 software and tools to all the startups registered under Startup Odisha Initiative. The Task Force duly appreciated the AWS and Zoho contribution.
