Odisha approves three investment projects worth Rs 864 crore
Recently, the state level single window clearance authority (SLSWCA) led by chief secretary A P Padhi has approved three proposals worth Rs 864 Cr. The first proposal is of Vijaynagar Bio-tech Private Limited which will set up a 50,000 tonnes per annum maize processing unit at Papadahandi in Nabarangapur district. Entailing an investment of Rs 59 crore, it would generate 400 jobs directly and indirectly. The project is likely to come up on 100 acres of land. The next project is coming up is of Kedar Investment and Trading Co Private Limited, a unit of Liberty Group Company, one of the largest seafood exporters. It’s a 10,000 tonne per annum sea food processing unit at the proposed food park at Deras. With a budget of Rs 55 crore it is likely to create around 1035 jobs. Another proposal which got approval is of West Coast Paper Mills Limited. This is a project of multi-layer double coated paper board manufacturing unit of 1,32,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) capacity and 12 MW captive power plant at Sonepur. Involving a total investment of Rs 750 crore it will generate employment for about 700 people.
