Plantation on Odisha river basins
Recent announcement of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Regional Museum of Natural History on plantation drive highlighted the genuine effort and perseverance of the government to systematically improve and take care of our environment. Chief minister took the opportunity at the inauguration of Odisha Environment Congress to address the issues on environmental issues and voiced his optimism on river basin management. He further announced the plantation of two crore saplings along the river basins of Mahanadi and few other rivers covering a stretch of one kilometer. His concern on the preservation of water and the soil was well appreciated. With people's participation and Government's approach for the upkeep of the environment the state can now aspire to be a greener and better habitat.
