Recent review meeting conducted by Chief Secretary A K Padhi revealed the satisfactory progress of Rural Sanitation campaign under Swatchh Bharat Mission in our state. Though the program has achieved 44% growth in last 3 years, authorities are planning to make it to 65% by end of March. Padhi has also instructed to fulfill the target of 7,715 villages in 30 districts of the state that have been declared ODF (open defecation free). As of now only Deogarh district has been declared ODF district in the state. Special attention to sanitation work is being given to provide a healthy living environment for everyone and protect the natural resources of the state.
