Smart City Updates
Skybus in Dharamshala soon
Post its inclusion in 'Smart City Mission', the tourist town of Dharamshala is all set to implement smart transport. The city has employed a Belarus company to have Skybus facility within a year with a budget of Rs 250 crores. The proposal has acquired the technical clearance from the municipal corporation. While most of the construction materials for the transport system will be procured locally, a small technically significant part will occur in Belarus. In the first phase the track will connect the neighbouring suburbs with the city centre and in the second phase the remote settlement of Dadh and the airport will be connected. The SkyWay urban transport solutions will serve as a modern fast and time-saving transport artery for the citizens and the tourists while reducing city traffic congestion and pollution. In future, the track structure could act as infrastructure for implementation of high-speed public internet to be spread across the city.
