University of California Berkeley launches Smart City 4.0 initiative
Innovation Acceleration Group at University of California Berkeley Executive Education (UC Berkeley), is going to launch Smart City 4.0. This is being launched in collaboration with United States India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) and IM1B (1 Million for I Billion). This project will involve industry skills development, innovators mentoring, fundable start ups creation which will fuel Indian smart cities craetion. As a part of this, a Smart City Co-Innovation Lab (SCCL) will be established in Allahabad. SCCL is designed to be a place where large, mid size companies and start-ups will innovate with citizens to create sustainable solutions and co-create last mile business models together. It will encourage youth, citizen, large corporation and the local government participation to develop smart city solutions jointly. Emphasis will be on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Water, Energy, Transportation, Waste Management, Healthcare, Climate and Smart Agriculture.
