Smart City Updates
The city can ditch motor vehicles and gear up for cycles
Nowadays congestion on city roads has become a challenge for commuters and a threat to environment. Authorities in few cities like Pune are attempting to address the issue by pursuing the public to develop the habit of using cycles instead of vehicles. The Pune Municipal Corporation, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, and the Pune Smart City Development Corporation are jointly preparing a plan to develop close to 700 km of cycling lanes across the city along with other infrastructure including parking spaces and more. To address the same issue in our city we too can replace bikes with cycles, which would ultimately help in reducing the emission of pollutants thus leading the us to have a healthy lifestyle.
