Each block of the state to have a model school soon

The Mass Education Department has been directed by the Chief Secretary AP Padhi to take proper measures to  ensure the continuous spread of quality education through Model Schools especially by timely release of fund to cater to annual recurring and non-recurring expenses. An allocation of 536.79 crore has been done towards the same for this year. As already 100 Model Schools have been operational,100 more similar model schools along with hostels are going to come up  in backward blocks during the fiscal year 2016-17.Consequently, every block of the State (314 in total) would have a Model School.The implementation work of the project is being taken up by the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS).
