First-All Women Shelter Home unveiled in BBSR

The 100-bedded shelter home has all the facilities to render the needs of homeless women. Currently the shelter is holding 50 inmates, which will be subsequently upgraded to help more women by the State Government. For their safety and security, women coordinators and security personnel shall be appointed at the shelter. Abharani Choudhury, secretary of the Odisha Patita Udhar Samiti has mentioned that Shelter for Urban Homeless (SUH) is the first such shelter home dedicated entirely for women. The main goal of SUH is to reach out to more number of helpless women, to provide them shelter, rehabilitate and help them get into the mainstream of the society.
