WR launches smart feedback platform
Western Railway (WR) has launched an innovative feedback service on the occasion of World Toilet Day. Through this smart solution the commuters can directly provide feedback about cleanliness of toilets on certain suburban railway stations using their smartphones. Feedback about attendants’ behavior can also be shared. This initiative is a part of Swachh Bharat Mission. It has been taken up by WR in association with Rotary club and Gaia smart city. The service is operational for 17 stations namely, Churchgate, Marine Lines, Charni Road, Grant Road, Lower Parel, Elphinstone Road, Dadar, Matunga Road, Mahim, Bandra, Goregaon, Andheri, Kandivali, Borivali, Dahisar, Bhayander and Nallasopara stations. In order to share the feedback, passengers have to scan the QR codes at the toilets using any scanner app on their smartphones, which will open a link on their browser. On submitting their mobile number or email address, they can register and proceed. The smart feedback system is designed to allow easy monitoring of facilities and sanitation levels at public toilets across stations by the railway authorities. The third party service providers would be more vigilant as their accountability for the complaints will increase. If the response of this smart platform would be good, it may be extended to get other types of feedbacks too.
